On April 27, officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of the Mid-County Public Safety Complex, a new facility located at 11299 Schaefer Road in Maryland Heights for St. Louis County.
The state-of-the-art building will house St. Louis County Police Precinct Two and serve as the central hub for the Fusion Intelligence Center, Criminal Intelligence, Regional Information and Intelligence Center (RIIC), and Property Control divisions. In collaboration with St. Charles County Police, the RIIC will also operate the Drone as First Responder program, which is anticipated to launch by summer’s end.
Approximately 100 law enforcement professionals will be stationed at the new complex.
“We are thrilled that this new facility has opened on schedule and within budget,” St. Louis County Executive Sam Page stated. “This advanced facility prepares our Police Department for the evolving landscape of modern law enforcement.”
The facility honors St. Louis County Police Det. Antonio Valentine, a dedicated officer who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty in 2021.
