Mapping Social Prescribing - Learning from the London Area

Regional Voices delivery partner LVSC has published a briefing on learning from the project which mapped social prescribing activities in London as part of its Regional Voices work around the Five Year Forward View. 

The briefing aims to:
  • Raise awareness of the importance of regional mapping of social prescribing initiatives.

  • Consider the lessons from mapping social prescribing activities across London

  • Discuss & describe the results of LVSC’s short social prescribing survey.

Low-paid workers are encouraged to come forward to make sure they are getting the wages they are legally entitled to.

Community Health and Wellbeing Charities Win GSK IMPACT Awards

Ten charities from across the UK have won a prestigious national award for improving health and wellbeing in their communities. 

The charities are the winners of the 2017 GSK IMPACT Awards, run with The King’s Fund, and will each receive £30,000 as part of the prize. The winners went through a rigorous assessment process and beat more than 400 organisations to achieve the accolade.

UCLPartners and Regional Voices delivery partner London Voluntary Sector Council (LVSC) have jointly produced a summary of the key points made in six reports on the voluntary and community sector, published throughout 2016.

The six reports are largely inspired by the NHS Five Year Forward View, which identifies the need for stronger partnerships with the charitable and voluntary sector.
